Dr. Sundararaman Chintamani is a senior techno-domain consultant having 35 plus years of experience including 15 years of experience in the petroleum refining industry. His experiences include areas such as manufacturing operations and plant automation system in the refinery, dynamic simulation, MES solutions and building proactive solutions for the oil and gas industry. He is a senior solution-leader, offering thought leadership and domain inputs for the oil and gas practice in the following areas:- 

Solutions: Has deep knowledge on the oil and gas value chain. For a leading IT company, he conceived a virtual oil and gas center of excellence (CoE), and developed many proactive proofs of concepts (PoC) for the oil and gas value chain to showcase domain understanding and technical capabilities.

Delivery: He participates in IT projects on a need basis. He served as a SME for a ‘Learning and Development’ project for a chain of refineries for an US based global oil major. Played significant role as a domain consultant in the knowledge transfer (KT) during the transition phase for a mega legacy application maintenance project for a UK based global oil major. He has also executed several operator training simulator (OTS) projects in the past.

Pre-Sales: Sundararaman is instrumental in building business collateral and working closely with the sales and pre-sales teams. Participates in customer-meets and contributes towards domain inputs for RFXs. Played key role in winning many IT projects.

Domain Competency: Dr. Sundararaman has great passion in training the associates and building the oil and gas domain competency. Conceived and executed “O&GPro101” domain specific certification programs. Conceptualized, conducted class room sessions and webinars, to ensure certification for more than 600 associates. Used to be an instructor for operator training simulator in the past.

Thought Leadership: Sundararaman demonstrates thought leadership by participating in conferences and seminars. He also blogs on various aspects of digital technologies in oil and gas industry. 

Analyst Relations: As the oil and gas practice head, Dr. Sundararaman used to manage the analyst relationship. Actively involved in activities such as analyst briefing, analyst inquiries and survey with leading analysts such as Gartner, IDC Energy Insight etc.
